Together towards sustainable products

Quality first is one of our three company values and it guides our everyday decisions. Working together with both customers and factories, we make high quality PCBs, focusing on sustainability, by selecting the right factory for each project and constantly keeping an eye on the processes. For a more sustainable design we look to engage with our customers in the product development phase.

Commitment

To steer the sector in a green direction

Measurable goals

  • Top scores in customer satisfaction including sustainability.
  • Continuously reduce environmental footprint.

Actions and achievements 2024

  • High quality performance – 99.5% – continued developing our quality processes and performance to keep high quality and reliability level, and to minimize scrap and resources used.
  • We conducted webinars and seminars around the world – Design for Manufacturing, Sustainability in a PCB world, Circularity, Standard stack-ups and impedance, Thermal management, Quality assurance and more – our experts sharing our knowledge and expertise to support sustainable product development.
  • Technical Council focus group on sustainability – for a more sustainable PCB with focus on circularity and new innovative materials and PCB technologies.
  • During the year, we were involved in the evaluation of bio-based and traditional materials with a view to increasing circularity and reducing environmental impact.
  • Continued supporting customers in the design phase – personal technical expertise, as well as design guidelines for different types of PCBs available for download on our website.
  • Dialogue and activities continued with customers to jointly strive to reduce emissions in the value chain.
  • A slight increase in ocean freight (4 percentage points, cargo weight) compared to last year, which reduces the emissions from transporting the PCBs.
*Benchmark – average result among other companies using the survey.
** No benchmark for Sustainability, as this is a specific NCAB question in the survey.
Next survey is scheduled for 2024.
