The Chinese National Day is also called the National Day Golden Week. This year it will take place September 29th – October 6th. As this is a national holiday it affects all production in China and Taiwan. We are preparing action plans together with our factories to find different ways of working around disruptions.
All our efforts are always focused on your production, and our Factory Management team will be manned during the holiday. But despite all the precautions we are taking, it could be good to think ahead to avoid disruption in your production. We have made a list of a number of proactive measures to think about.
Prepare before the holiday
- Together with NCAB Group, plan your production before the holiday. We can look at what is due directly after the holiday (i.e. the first few days) and pull it forward so that it ships before. (last shipping day: September 27th; first shipping day: October 9th)
- Prioritize your most critical products
- NCAB will use optional factories whenever applicable for QTA
- Buffer stock managed by NCAB
Why is it called Golden week?
China’s National Day is the celebration of the founding of People´s Republic of China and since 1950 the Chinese government announce each year that the 1st of October is the Chinese National Day. There are various ceremonies and activities to celebrate the National Day and every 5th and 10th year there are military parades of various sizes.
The Chinese government always adjust the National day with a weekend, so that people will have a week off to celebrate the National Day, and that’s why it is also called National Day Golden Week. During this time, people travel a lot. There is also a lot of consuming to contribute to the economic development of the country.

Vorbereitung vor den Feiertagen
- Planen Sie Ihre Produktion vor der Golden Week zusammen mit ihren lokalen Ansprechpartnern der NCAB – Wir können uns ansehen, was direkt nach den Feiertagen (d. h. in den ersten Tagen) fällig ist, und es vorziehen, so dass es vorher versandt wird. (letzter Versandtag: 27. September; erster Versandtag: 9. Oktober)

- Nach Möglichkeit benutzt NCAB optionale Fabriken für eine schnellere Abwicklung

Warum wird die Golden Week so genannt?
Der chinesische Nationalfeiertag oder Golden Week ist die Feier der Gründung der Volksrepublik China. Seit 1950 gibt die chinesische Regierung jedes Jahr den 1. Oktober als chinesischen Nationalfeiertag bekannt. Der Nationalfeiertag wird mit verschiedenen Zeremonien und Aktivitäten gefeiert. Alle 5 bis 10 Jahre finden Militärparaden unterschiedlicher Größe statt. Die chinesische Regierung legt den Nationalfeiertag immer auf ein Wochenende, so dass die Menschen eine Woche frei haben, um den Nationalfeiertag zu feiern, weshalb er auch National Day Golden Week genannt wird. Während dieser Zeit reisen die Menschen viel. Es wird auch viel konsumiert, um zur wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung des Landes beizutragen.

La fête nationale chinoise, également appelée la Golden Week, aura lieu du 29 septembre au 6 octobre 2023. Comment se préparer ?
- En collaboration avec NCAB Group, planifiez votre production avant la fermeture des usines. Nous pouvons identifier les commandes qui doivent être livrées juste après la Golden Week et les avancer de manière à ce qu’elles soient expédiées avant (dernier jour d’expédition : 27 septembre ; premier jour d’expédition : 9 octobre).
- Priorisez vos lignes les plus critiques.
- NCAB utilisera des solutions alternatives (usines européennes) pour les QTA.

La fête nationale chinoise, officiellement la fête nationale de la république populaire de Chine, est célébrée chaque année le 1er octobre. Instauré en 1950, ce jour férié commémore la fondation de la République populaire de Chine. Le gouvernement chinois fait toujours coïncider la fête nationale avec un week-end afin que les gens aient une semaine de congé pour célébrer la fête nationale. C’est la raison pour laquelle on l’appelle aussi la Golden Week. Durant cette période, les chinois voyagent et consomment beaucoup pour contribuer au développement économique du pays.
