Give Back Day with NCAB Group Benelux

All employees at NCAB Group are free to spend one working day per year on any non-profit activity of their choice – a Give Back Day.

NCAB Group Benelux chose to do a team activity this year, and during the circumstances with Covid-19, they had a day outdoors – at a natural reserve in Den Bosch, the Netherlands.

This is their story:

“Mother Earth has had a bit of a rough time lately – her oceans are awash with single use plastic, wildlife populations are declining at an unprecedented rate, and we need to limit irreversible climate change catastrophe. So that’s why we think that the planet deserves to be shown a bit of love and kindness! Even these small changes can help to make a difference, and hopefully they can be the start of new conscious habits and practices. We decided to work at Eendenkooi Maaspoort, a reserve in Den Bosch, the Netherlands.

During the day we did several activities such as weed out around the water and the ground, prune the trees, rake leaves and build a mulch for old leaves and damaged trees.

At the end of the day we had a nice walk in the reserve. The team was quite tired but happy: ”After months at home, a nice day to share”, “amazing collaboration”, “great teamwork”, “great co-workers teambuilding”, “good memories”,“ a little step I will continue to do”.

We would like to thank Jan de Rond & Rut Soktman, the project managers who made it happen.”
