The public Chinese New Year holiday 2027 is February 5th to 12th. As this is a national holiday it affects all production in China and Taiwan, and due to the current situation in the PCB market, where the supply chain is already heavily strained, it is more important than ever to plan and prepare before the holiday. We are continuously preparing action plans together with our factories to ensure minimal disruption.
Our efforts are focused on your production, and our Factory Management team will be manned during the entire Chinese New Year. But despite all the precautions we are taking, it is necessary to plan ahead for the Chinese New Year to ensure continuity in your production.
We have compiled a list of proactive measures for you to consider.
Important actions that will make your Chinese New Year a happy one
- Together with NCAB Group, plan your production ahead of the holiday. We can review orders that are due immediately after the holiday (i.e. during the first few days) and, where possible, bring them forward so that they can be shipped before the holiday.
- Prioritize your most critical products and focus on your current needs.
- Allow the use of all NCAB-approved materials. By approving alternative materials in advance, you improve the ability to secure materials and minimize supply risks.
- NCAB will use approved alternative factories whenever applicable for QTA.
Why is the Chinese New Year special?
The Chinese New Year is the most important traditional holiday in China. It is also known as the Spring Festival, the literal translation of the modern Chinese name. Chinese New Year celebrations traditionally ran from Chinese New Year’s Eve, the last day of the last month of the Chinese calendar, to the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first month, making the festival the longest in the Chinese calendar. It is also the occasion when many Chinese travel across the country to spend the holiday with their families. The Chinese New Year has been called the largest annual human migration in the world.
