The Chinese National Day holiday takes place from October 1st to October 8th, and the Mid-Autumn Festival from September 25th to September 27th. As these are national holidays, they affect all production in China and Taiwan, and due to the current situation in the PCB market, where the supply chain is already heavily strained, it is more important than ever to plan and prepare before the holiday period. We are continuously preparing action plans together with our factories to ensure minimal disruption.
Our efforts are focused on your production, and our Factory Management team will be available throughout the holiday. But despite all the precautions we are taking, it is necessary to plan ahead to ensure continuity in your production.
We have compiled a list of proactive measures for you to consider.
Prepare ahead of the holiday
- Together with NCAB Group, plan your production ahead of the holiday. We can review orders that are due immediately after the holiday (i.e. during the first few days) and, where possible, bring them forward so that they can be shipped before the holiday.
- Prioritize your most critical products and focus on your current needs.
- Allow the use of all NCAB-approved materials. By approving alternative materials in advance, you improve the ability to secure materials and minimize supply risks.
- NCAB will use approved alternative factories whenever applicable for QTA.

National Day & Mid-Autumn Festival
China’s National Day, also known as Golden Week, celebrates the founding of the People´s Republic of China. It is celebrated with various ceremonies, parades, and other activities. The holiday connected to the National Day lasts for one week, which is why it is also called Golden Week.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of China’s most important traditional festivals and has a long history. An important part of the festival celebration is moon worship, and mooncakes, traditional pastries typically filled with sweet-bean or lotus-seed paste, are traditionally eaten during the festival. The Mid-Autumn Festival‘s moon symbolizes family reunion, and expresses feelings of longing for loved ones and one’s hometown, while also representing hopes for a bumper harvest and future happiness. Over time, the festival has become a rich, colorful, and valuable part of China’s cultural heritage.
